Many moons ago, I returned home from university with a first class degree in contemporary crafts under my belt and the certain knowledge that I wanted to live and work in beautiful North Wales.
With jobs utilising my creativity few and far between I began a little business designing and making hand made greetings cards from my bedroom in my parents home. Very quickly the business took off and a studio space was needed to keep up. Soon after came the offer of a tiny little shop on the high street where I could not only sell my cards, but a small selection of other gifts as well. This was the start of a new love - sourcing beautiful things.
Two shop moves later, 15 years and some bumps along the road and here we are, Siop Ria as we know it today. Siop Ria is now proudly situated in a prominent corner position on Bala’s High Street with three great big windows to show off what we have on offer.
The gorgeous gifts and jewellery that we have are all chosen by me with a little help from my Mum, who is quite often to be found behind the counter enjoying herself. We source them from all over and choose carefully what we think our customers will want and enjoy. With 15 years experience, we bring you a carefully selected selection of contemporary quality items to suit a wide variety of tastes.
The card making that started the business is still in operation and going strong. These cards are exclusive to us and the only ones we have on offer in the shop. They are all designed by me and made on the shop premisses with a helping hand from the lovely Ellie.
I love my work! I get to spend my days doing what I adore – being creative and appreciating lovely things.
I am very proud to be the owner of a thriving independent small business and I will be forever grateful to customers like you for your support and encouragement – Thank you!
